Associated Groups

Are you new to folk dancing and eager to learn more quickly? Here are some groups taught by some of the same teachers as in the Pasadena Folk Dance Co-op. These groups are not necessarily beginners' groups, but the small class size and excellent teaching can help you progress faster.

Foothill International Folk Dancers

Jan and Marc Rayman have begun a new social international folk dance group in La Canada Flintridge on Thursday nights. They are currently in summer recess until September 8, 2016.  Foothill International Folk Dancers usually dances from 7:30 - 9:30 with more advanced dances being presented after 8:30.

Sometimes they teach, review, and dance some of the same dances coming up on Friday nights. Learn it from them and dance it at both locations. If you would like them to teach a particular dance, send an email to: We also take requests from our Dance List/Videos page of our website: Foothill.Dance.
The cost is $5. Each evening's teaching and dancing will be adjusted to the dance experience of the participants. They meet at the Community Center of La Cañada at 4469 Chevy Chase, La Cañada, CA 91011. The large dance floor has been refurbished and the ample parking is free.                Mountain Dancers

Mountain Dancers meet on the first and third Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at the South Pasadena Women's Club, 1424 Fremont Avenue (at the corner of Rollin), South Pasadena. Admission is $5. They are currently on summer break, resuming in the fall.  Even when in session, they might not be meeting some days, so please call Ann (626-893-0303) to verify that they are meeting.                Pat and Don's Class

    (at the Pasadena Senior Center)

Pat Cross and her partner Don Krotser teach an international folk dance class at the Pasadena Senior Center on Monday afternoon from noon to 1 pm. They are currently on summer break. The class is free, but you have to be over 50 and spend $50/year to become a member of the Senior Center. The Senior Center is located at the corner of Holly and Raymond in Pasadena. Free parking is available.
