We dance every Friday at the Altadena Community Church, 943 E Altadena Drive, Altadena, just east of Lake on the north side of Altadena Drive. Drive up the long driveway on the right and park in the back. Heicher hall where we dance is in the back building, and the entrance is off the back parking lot.

Admission is $6, or if you buy a membership for $10 per year you get in for $5 per night.

If a month has five Fridays, the fifth Friday is a party night. Instead of teaching we have live music from our own band, appropriately called Fifth Friday Band. Apart from the band’s dozen or so dances, the rest of our program on fifth Fridays is all-request to recorded music.

We have dancers of all skill levels, so whether you are new to folk dancing or experienced, you would be most welcome. Members will encourage you to dance, but not put uncomfortable pressure on you, so if you just want to watch to see what it’s like, that’s fine.

If you are interested in learning to dance, are an experienced dancer, or are a Google search engine, you should read this paragraph. Since 1941 we have welcomed to our group anyone interested in folk dancing, folk dance, international dance, social dance, traditional dance, Balkan dance, Scottish country dance, Israeli dance, ethnic dance, or recreational dance.
